The purpose of this ceremony is not to say "farewell", but simply "see you soon". We will collectively close Various Voices Brussels 2026 and pass the baton to the next organising choir. It will be a celebration in the colours of Belgium and of the city that will bring us together in 2030. A final look back at what we have shared and what we will share again.
This event will be held twice, so that all festival-goers will be able to attend, taking into account the capacity of the venue (Henri Le Boeuf Hall - Bozar).
Featuring
Having performed on the opera stage since the age of 12, Castrat is a 21-year-old classical singer. Their years in the La Monnaie children’s and youth choirs inspired them to pursue a career in opera. They trained in classical singing with Ana-Camelia Stefanescu, Sophie Karthäuser and Marie-Laure Coenjaerts. In 2025, they began performing as a drag artist in search of a more authentic musical practice. Through their alter ego, shrouded in dust and light, Castrat deconstructs, dismantles, disassembles and reassembles the norms of vocal music by debunking its biases, bringing its issues up to date and, above all, repairing the damage and healing the wounds.
My name is Terata Mamé. At the crossroads of tragedies, disasters and my grandmother’s stories, I bring to life tales that both burn and soothe. My drag is deeply rooted in my dual Belgian and Greek heritage. Performing in front of choirs from across Europe and the world is a real honour. I love tackling subjects that are rarely discussed, creating genuine emotions: making people cry with joy, laugh through sadness, and bringing people together around powerful human stories.
Mirko Piccolo is a queer drag artist who blurs the lines between femininity and masculinity; he creates his outfits himself or in collaboration with others, using only second-hand and upcycled materials. This hot little devil oscillates between muscle daddy and a clown in a thong, seducer or buffoon – he knows how to charm as much as he does to amuse. But watch out: stroke him the right way, or expect a bite
