Laura and the Lesbians
We are a queer a capella vocal group from Manchester. Singing our namesake Laura’s crunchy arrangements in close harmony, our main aims are to have fun, support each other and our wonderful queer family, by being loudly, proudly visible.
Laura & the Lesbians began as friends singing around the kitchen table in 2017 and 9 years later here we are! Our main aims are to have fun, support the queer community and be visible. Laura’s style of crunchy arrangements, especially with a focus on queer musicians, gives us a great repertoire. We have had so many unexpected, wonderful adventures, including singing on boats, in train stations, up mountains, at weddings and parties and in beautiful historical buildings – with our music transcending language barriers and expectations.
Coming together in Brussels is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the LGBT+ community and perform. We are most looking forward to meeting friends old and new and enjoying their new music, as well as exploring Brussels on foot and enjoying both the beautiful buildings and a cold beer at the end of the day.
