The festival team wants to limit the maximum number of participating choirs to 120. This number takes into account the experience of previous festivals: 90 choirs were present in Munich in 2018 and 105 in Bologna in 2023. Welcoming more choirs to Brussels means hiring more venues so all the groups can perform, which has a direct impact on the festival budget. Once the number of 120 choirs is reached, we will set up a waiting list, in case any choirs cancel.
