Voces LGTB de Madrid
LGTB Voices Madrid, founded in 2015, is a diverse collective rooted in transfeminism and human rights. We unite people of all identities, bodies, ages, and abilities to fight patriarchal oppression, promote visibility, denounce violence, and celebrate diversity through music.
Music is our medium, but activism is at our core. With 35 singers from around the world, we perform original polyphonic works by Gonzalo García Baz that aim to challenge prejudice and spark reflection. Highlights include “La Pasión de Marsha” (2019), honoring Marsha P. Johnson; “LGTB Street” (2021), using puppets and songs to teach diversity; and our 2023 tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini at Various Voices in Bologna. Each show blends art and activism to promote LGTBIAQ+ rights and visibility.
Various Voices is a transformative festival of LGTBIAQ+ choirs that celebrates queer music and community. It’s a space where art, activism, and identity unite. Beyond singing, it fosters bonds, shares stories, and promotes diversity, inclusion, and pride across cultures through choral harmony.
