Rosa Note e.V.
Since 1991, Rosa Note, Stuttgart’s queer men’s choir, has delighted audiences with 20 singers. Our style: CHORAL CABARET – diverse music, witty lyrics, lively moves. We perform at concerts, festivals, Pride, and charity events, and engage in Stuttgart’s queer community.
Founded 35 years ago in a living room, Rosa Note has become an integral part of Stuttgart’s cultural life. Our first conductor, Amadeus, led us for 32 years; three years ago, Emilia proudly took up his baton. Every two to three years, we create a new program that humorously reflects gay life. We perform our own concerts, join festivals and fellow choirs, and contribute to Stuttgart’s public life – singing at events like the City Museum opening, the AIDS-Federation anniversary, and the queer sports club celebration.
For us, Various Voices means living community in all its facets: within our choir, where the festival experience connects and strengthens us, and with all participants who share our love of music and celebrate queer normality. Friendships between choirs are renewed, new ones begin. The festival inspires us musically and shows the world that singing queer people are a vibrant part of Europe.
