Just as our voices, our choir presents itself confident, colorful, and outspoken. We’re a vibrant choir of 50+ people aged 20-75 bringing queer music on stage. Singing pop and rock, we celebrate diversity and joy while creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and free to be themselves.

We’re a bit like a choir in the fast lane: full of energy, passion, and a message we can’t wait to share with the world! Founded in 2021, right after the pandemic – still singing with masks on – we quickly picked up speed: performances on the radio, in church, concerts in Hanover, and Hamburg with the queer choir festival Nordakkord, and also at Hanover Pride. We reached another milestone, collaborating with the State Theatre of Hanover, joining a play with our songs. Therefore, we were featured in a TV program highlighting our performance at the theatre. What began with pure enthusiasm and vibrant spirit has grown into real musical strength. Together, we shine brighter than ever on stage!

The Tale of the Queerchor Hannover Once upon a time, in 2018, the Various Voices festival filled the air above Munich, Germany. Among the crowd stood a woman, inspired by the harmony of love, diversity, and connection. A dream sparked – to create a choir that would one day stand among them, singing with joy and pride. That night, the Queerchor Hannover was born. In 2026, the dream comes true, the choir she imagined is preparing to join that very same festival with open hearts and strong voices.
