With 100+ singers and dancers from Amsterdam’s gay, bi and queer community, AMSGMC is the largest LGBTQ+ chorus in the Netherlands. With a broad repertoire, we love to celebrate diversity through music and dance, while giving our members a place where they can be themselves and share their talent.

Like the city that we call home, AMSGMC strives to be open-minded and international. Our members come from 30+ countries and since our founding in 2015 we’ve always aimed to create a culture of acceptance of gay, bi and queer men in all their diversity – and to share this with Amsterdam’s diverse communities too. A core goal of our chorus is to challenge ourselves and our audiences by using our shows to explore potent topics such growing up gay, personal growth, queer icons in music, family relationships and the origins of Pride. By performing all this in various combinations (Nexus ensemble, solos and small groups) we want our audience to learn and be moved by the power of music.

Our second visit to Various Voices, Brussels 2026 represents a big opportunity for us to prove that in a divided world, our community in all its rich diversity can draw strength through UNITY (the theme of Amsterdam World Pride 2026). For us, this means supporting other choruses, learning from each other and celebrating each other’s successes and being seen on stage in the international, queer-friendly city that is Brussels!
