Schola Cantorosa – Schwuler Männerchor Hamburg e.V.
SCHOLA CANTOROSA was founded in 1987 and therefor is one of the four oldest German Gay Choruses. In the almost four decades of its existance the choir has become a wellknown part of Hamburg’s cultural scene. The chorus is famous for its spectacular shows amongst a large and diverse audience. In each show we present a new theme with arrangements of songs from all type of music written for our chorus. With our selfwritten lyrics we tell the story, and costumes and choreography are allways added to make the show complete. In Brussels we will present a part of our latest show “SCHOLA in motion!” a program about the different aspects of sport and fitness.

Our chorus loves to invite other groups to join us for our concerts and we love to travel to other cities to meet old friends or make new ones. Sharing these special times with other musicians from around Europe and beyond makes us happy. Our last guest chorus Coro LGTBI de Torremolinos came all the way from Spain to join us for our concerts in Hamburg and we had a wonderful weekend full of music, inspiration and friendship together.
SCHOLA CANTOROSA has participated in every European LGBTIQ* Chorus Festival but one since the chorus was founded in 1987. So VariousVoices Brussels 2026 will be our 12th Festival. We love the great atmosphere that the Festivals allways create with lots of music, wonderful encounters and inspiring moments. We are looking forward to meet old friends and find new ones amongst the growing European LGBTIQ* chorus family.
