Mannenakkoord
Founded on March 16, 2016, Mannenakkoord is a unique Eindhoven-based choir that focuses on gay men. Under the inspired direction of conductor Liesbeth Schins, the choir offers a place where musicality and community spirit go hand in hand.
Mannenakkoord was founded on March 16, 2016, inspired by a trip to Prague Pride the year before, where friends from Eindhoven saw the London Gay Men’s Chorus and thought: we need this too! Since then, under conductor Liesbeth Schins, we’ve become a vibrant choir for gay men—singing from memory, adding choreography, and sharing joy through music. More than performing, we create a space where musicality, visibility, and community spirit come together in Eindhoven’s Queer scene.
For Mannenakkoord, Various Voices Brussels 2026 is more than a festival. It’s a stage where we, a choir of gay men from Eindhoven, proudly share our voices, stories, and energy with an international community. Performing there means promoting visibility for LGBTQI+ choirs, celebrating diversity through music, and showing that musicality and community spirit go hand in hand.
