Gloria LGBT+ Choir
Glória LGBT+ Choir: Proudly harmonising since 1995. What started as a safe space for lesbian and gay singers has become a vibrant 50+ voice SATB ensemble, welcoming LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. We celebrate identity, inclusion, and equality through music, performing diverse genres in various venues, from concert halls to Pride parades, across Ireland and internationally. Celebrating our 30th anniversary, we continue to innovate with new music and performances, inviting all to experience the joy. Every voice and note is a celebration.
Founded in 1995, we were the first gay and lesbian choir in Ireland, Glória began with 25 singers and now boasts 50+ fabulous voices. We’ve sung in cathedrals, pubs, parks, and even train stations! From Dublin to Miami, we’ve toured, celebrated Pride, honoured AIDS memorials, and raised thousands of euros in funding for charities and important social causes and we played a big part in the Marriage Equality referendum in 2015 and in its lead up. We sing everything from classical to camp—and once performed in a shopping centre dressed as elves. Glória is music, mischief, and magic, all in perfect harmony
Various Voices Brussels? C’est magnifique! It’s like Eurovision meets Pride, with extra glitter and better harmonies. For Glória, it’s a chance to sing, shine, and say ‘oui oui’ to unity, diversity, and fabulousness – all in one très chic choral celebration!
