Brighton Rox is a vibrant 12-piece UK based Queer choir captivating audiences with contemporary music, unique arrangements, and quirky twists. With the support of talented conductor and accompanist Ollie Fabb, this group of friends pushes boundaries and celebrates diversity, creativity, friendship, and unity.

Brighton Rox is a new choir, originally formed for a one-off performance at the UK’s Hand in Hand festival 2024, but we quickly realised we had too much fun to stop there! We all met in LGBTQ+ choirs including Brighton’s Rainbow Chorus and London’s Pink Singers and wanted the exciting new challenge of singing in a smaller group. As 12 friends we enjoy our rehearsals and work as a collective to make decisions and choose our repertoire. We’ve performed in the rain by an old train for a virtual concert, at birthday parties and for World Aids Day. We are always looking for new excuses to perform so come and talk to us or check out our socials to connect – we would love to collaborate on performances with other choirs. We seem to have developed a delightful case of “abandonment issues” and just can’t hang up our boiler suits!

Brighton Rox thrive on spreading joy and forging connections through music, creating an inclusive and supportive space for all. What better place to do this than at Various Voices where we will share the love of singing and performing with so many choirs from across Europe and beyond. It means seeing old and new friends, networking, supporting other choirs, the joy of appreciative audiences, celebrating the diversity and unity of the LGBTQ+ choral community and socialising in a safe, loving and joyful space. We’re also looking forward to exploring a stunning new city!
